Reichert just wants to keep you informed

Congressman Dave Reichert is getting some heat for abusing his privledge to distribute free mail. Oh My!

Many members of Congress use taxpayer-financed mail to let constituents know what’s happening on Capitol Hill and in their districts. But apparently Reichert has “crossed the line.” That is ofcourse according to Darcy Burner’s campaign.

Reichert sent out approx 475,000 mailers to constituents last year at a cost of almost $90,000 in postage alone. Tisk, Tisk.

On Reichert’s behalf, witty spokesman Mike Shields says: “If Dave Reichert wasn’t sending out any mail to his constituents, then I’m sure the Darcy Burner campaign would say, ‘Why doesn’t Dave Reichert keep his constituents informed about what’s going on in Washington, D.C.?’ “

How about we just embrace the net and save $$ AND trees?
