Missile Man Takes Off! Iran Tests Nine

Iran state media said nine missiles were tested in total today in response to what they say are threats from Israel and the U.S.
Gen. Hossein Salami, commander of the Revolutionary Guard ground forces, said:
“We want to tell the world that those who conduct their foreign policy by using the language of threat against Iran have to know that our finger is always on the trigger and we have hundreds and even thousands of missiles ready to be fired against predetermined targets.
“We will chase the enemies on the ground and in the sky and we are able react strongly to enemy’s threats in shortest possible time.”
Silly Salami. Your commando just reassured us yesterday he has no plans to. Maybe we need a better translator up in here.
US Under-secretary of State William Burns said the test was “provocative”.
Love it! Have you ever heard a missile launching described as ‘provacative’?
Burns told a Congressional hearing: “We view force as an option that is on the table but a last resort. We do not believe we have exhausted all the diplomatic possibilities.”
Good. Good.
He said that although Tehran was trying to foster the perception its nuclear programme was advancing, “real progress has been more modest,” saying Iranian scientists had not yet perfected the technique of enriching uranium.
That’s kind of Burns for letting Iranians play catch-up and all don’t you think?
