Holy See Blames US Dollar For Their Deficit

The Holy See said yesterday that the Vatican was running a deficit of almost $14.3 million of 2007, saying that it was ”due mainly to sharp and very pronounced trend reversal in fluctuation of exchange rates, particularly the US dollar”-which fills up their collection baskets from faithful U.S. followers. Oh, their “steep” costs of running its media put them in the red.

Well excuse US for tainting your Holy charity. Next time we’ll think twice before contributing to your deficit.
