Douche of the Day

At a news conference in Fresno, a reporter asked McCain why he opposes drilling for oil in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge, but not off the coast of California, asking ‘if the California coast is any less pristine.’
McShame Responded:
“First of all, it’s called the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for a reason. It’s a refuge. And that obviously makes it a unique part of America. Second of all, I do believe that the offshore exploration and exploitation is safe. Hurricanes Katrina obviously battered the oil rigs off the coast of Louisiana, and in previous storms, the rigs off the coast of Texas as well, with minimal damage.’’
