Bombs Over Baghdad
A car bomb exploded in a Shiite neighborhood market in Baghdad Tuesday evening. The explosion occured during the busiest time of day and killed at least 51 people and wounded 75. It was the deadliest attack in the Iraqi capital in more than three months.

R.I.P. Mexican Mayor Killed by Drug Gangs
Mayor Marcelo Ibarra from western Mexico was shot and killed on Sunday night. The mayor was traveling home with his wife and two children when armed men stopped their car, forced Ibarra to get out, and shot him in the head.
